On Saturday, October 26th, The Soddy Daisy Community Library is putting on a Halloween EEKstravaganza at Soddy Lake. Many big sponsors include, Team Scheeres Legacy Fund, Woodmenlife, David Casteel State Farm and the City of Soddy-Daisy, and Tennessee Valley Authority. The event will be held from 3pm-8pm.
Many are excited as the sponsors are bringing in a multitude of events, along with community members providing for the event. There will be food trucks, vendors, games, a chili cook off, pie-baking contest, and a Trunk-or-Treat. The Trunk-or-Treat will be held from 4pm-7pm. Entertainment will be all throughout with different street performers all day, and games all over the park.
Within the vendors and food trucks, spooky food and treats have been promised. Along with that, multiple nonprofit organizations will be there to share their services and information.
To top off the night, a free screening of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas will be held at 8:30pm.
Come out to Soddy Lake and start the Halloween fun early!
