Susie Wiles, age 69, has been appointed as the first woman to hold the Chief of Staff position. As White House Chief of Staff she is considered Donald Trump’s most trusted advisor and although she is a respected political figure, she is also lesser-known seeing as she usually works behind the scenes to get things done. So what is there to know about America’s first female Chief of Staff?
Susie Wiles was born in 1957, in New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1975 and has a forty year career in GOP politics, she’s helped numerous politicians get to the point of success they are at today, including President Donald J. Trump.
One of her first jobs in politics was as a staffer for Congressman Jack Kemp. Not only this, but in the first year of her political career she was able to work on President Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign.
She then worked on other republican campaigns before going to Florida to help run, and win, Rick Scott’s campaign for governor in 2010. She also worked briefly for Jon Huntsman and his presidential campaign.
Susie Wiles was drafted in to help Donald Trump win over his swing state for his 2016 election and by 2020 was one of his most trusted advisors
In between the 2016 and 2020 elections, she helped Ron DeSantis with his 2018 bid for governor. After his success – and a falling out – she returned to Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign and then began running his ‘Trump’s Save America PAC’.
People who have worked under her have described her as the “most valuable political advisor in the country.” Politicians commend her for her ethical work and loyalty to employers, and fear her ability to stand her ground and fight for the causes she associates herself with. Politicians recognize and respect her desire to help the American people, she is part of the Republican Party and even Democrats such as Ashley Walker recognize her as “the most successful, well-respected Republican operative in Florida” and now she is making strides to be seen as the most successful, well-respected Republican operative in America.
