On April 9th, 2024, TSSAA decided to make flag football a sanctioned high school sport in Tennessee. This November is the first season for Soddy Daisy High School. Tennessee is the 10th state to offer flag football. The plan is for practices to start in October to prepare for the season beginning in November. Home Games will be held here at Soddy Daisy High School on the new turf field.
The head coach will be Jeremy Gooden; he is a history teacher here at Soddy Daisy. He has a multitude of experience in being a head and assistant coach. He coached select softball for 4 years as a head coach, an assistant football coach at Soddy Middle School for 5 years, an assistant coach for the high school wrestling team for 3 years, and coached flag football for 2 years. He has 4 daughters and 1 son so he is experienced with kids of all ages and is ready to coach girls flag football at Soddy Daisy High School.
