Opening play of the game: Jake Jackson (starting at first base) came out firing, hitting a single during his first at-bat of the day. This started the Trojans off for a great game, leading to them scoring 13 runs and having double digits in the hit column. The pitching staff continued to impress as Sai Vickers, Carson Flint, and Taylor Hughes gave up a combined 2 runs and held them to under 10 hits in the 12 total innings played. As time moves on, the Trojans seem to continue to improve as players like AJ Florio, Gabe Fergusson, and Brayden Maynor start to come alive in the last few weeks heading right into the District Tournament. They look set to continue as they play tonight against Signal Mountain, whom they split with in the regular season, and look to win the ultimate prize tonight. Winning the District is not only a great prize but sets the Trojans up to host the regional tournament and punch their ticket to Sub-State.
