Each Wednesday students at Soddy Daisy High School have “Wonderful Wednesday”.
At lunch during Wonderful Wednesday, the forensics team sells pepperoni and cheese pizza in the hallway by the Lot D doors for $2 a slice to get funds for competitions, props, and other necessities for their organization.
Next to the pizza, Soddy Daisy’s student council core sells Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches and Little Debbie’s for $5. The proceeds go towards the class workshops, materials, and plans to better the school and its environment.
Not only are these rewards for the student body, but they help different clubs function throughout the year.
Sales are cash only and are every Wednesday from first to third lunch, or 10:59 a.m. to 12:22 p.m.
Soddy Daisy aims to create a positive student climate and give them the opportunity to strengthen their talents and improve their educational experience. Not only does Wonderful Wednesday help the organizations earn what they need, but it also gives students something to look forward to each week.
