Many parts of the US are bracing for heavy storms as holiday travel is just around the corner. The first major winter storm is said to bring plenty of freezing temperatures, snow, rain, and wind. There are also reports of possible tornadoes and flooding. According to Fox Weather, “The first storm system has the potential to produce severe weather, including possible tornadoes, in portions of the southern and central Plains on Sunday and Monday.” Concerns over flash flooding have also been raised in the southern Plains. The second storm system is forecasted to form in the northeast, and as it moves further east throughout the week, it will bring cold temperatures to the Ohio River Valley region, setting up ideal conditions for heavy snowfall.
